THE ROARING TWENTIES AT VERSAILLES
Experience a unique evening at the Château de Versailles for the third edition of the Ball of the Century.
In 1923, the Château de Versailles hosted an exceptional evening, the Fête Merveilleuse (the Marvellous Celebration), to celebrate the end of its restoration, … 100 years later, we invite you to travel back in time and relive the 1920s at Versailles during a grand ball, in the magnificent Gallery of Great Battles.
This ball, open to all participants, will highlight animated dances : tempête (tempest or Tom Pate), American jig, fantasies, Pol Jones, animal dances, Charleston, as well as the romantic steps of the waltz, tango, and foxtrot!
Come and dance at the Château de Versailles from Vienna waltzes to the Roaring Twenties.
This evening will feature many other surprises… After you have gone through the King’s Grand Apartments, you will be treated to a dance performance in the Hall of Mirrors.
In the Queen’s Grand Apartments, you’ll meet actors who will invite you to take part in activities inspired by this crazy era.
The musicians from the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal will perform a short musical programme in one of the most beautiful rooms in the Château, promising to be a truly delightful interlude !
A celebratory event at the Château de Versailles would not be one without a firework show ! You will be able to admire the wonderful show under the gold of the Hall of Mirrors.
After midnight, the Ball of the Century will start dancing to the beat of modern music in the Gallery of Great Battles for an unforgettable afterparty.
