Game Master Day (GM Day)
March 4, 2027

Game Master Day (GM Day), observed each year on March 4th, honors the creativity and dedication of Game Masters and Dungeon Masters who guide tabletop role-playing adventures. The celebration first took shape in the RPG community in 2002, sparked by a forum post from a user known as Spunkrat and brought into wider recognition through the efforts of Mark Clover of Creative Mountain Games. The date was chosen as a playful call to “march forth,” and later came to serve as a fitting tribute to Gary Gygax, who passed away on that day in 2008.
